Gratitude has often even been referred to as the fastest route to enduring happiness. Studies have shown that when we physically write down the things we are grateful for, that even through challenging times, focusing on the things that are still good or bring us happiness, can help shift our mindset to a more positive one.
I designed this journal from my own experience with what I have found effective in my own gratitude journaling practice over the last number of years. What I have discovered most is that simplicity is key in maintaining an effective practice, so this was paramount when I designed the journal. It can take as little as 10 to 15 minutes of your day to practice yet the benefits can be life changing.
Recent studies also suggest that writing in a gratitude journal three times per week might actually have a greater impact on our happiness than journaling every single day so this journal has been designed with no strict format to adhere to. While five pages have been allocated per week over a six month period, the flexiblity in it’s design means you don’t have to stick to this and you can use it as you wish. Three days a week might work for one person and five or even seven might be more effective to someone else. What is important is that you try to stick to at least three days per week and above all that you are patient with it, allowing it the time it needs to see the benefits unfold.
There are prompts and guides throughout along with quotes to help you stay on track making this Gratitude Journal an engaging colorful experience that you will look forward to each day or night. There is also a section on the people in our lives we are grateful for which can help strengthen or relationships.
